Spam mail experiment

Like everyone else I get so many emails that I often miss ones that are important because I can’t see the wood for the trees. 7 days ago I decided to use the unsubscribe options on all the unwanted marketing emails I received in the next week. I kept a list and in 7 days I've opted out of 27 mailing lists! It's made quite a difference which just goes to show how regular some of these emails were being sent.

I'd recommend it to anyone but remember never respond to scam mails as you are just proving your email address is valid making it a bigger target for spam.
